Imagine the roar of the crowd, the electric atmosphere, and a dream match that has wrestling fans buzzing! With WrestleMania just over 60 days away, the speculation is running wild about potential matchups. While Cody Rhodes isn't officially calling the shots for WWE's booking team, he's shared a fantasy bout he'd absolutely love to witness in Sin City this April: a showdown between Logan Paul and Bad Bunny!
We had a chance to chat with the former Undisputed WWE Champion in New York City, and the question on everyone's mind was whether the Grammy-winning artist, Bad Bunny, would make a triumphant return to WWE for WrestleMania 42. Cody expressed his hope, stating, "I hope we get him back. He did a wonderful job, but he's on top of the world right now."
And it's no wonder he's on top of the world! Bad Bunny recently delivered a Super Bowl halftime show that captivated an astounding 128.2 million viewers, making it the fourth most-watched halftime performance in NFL history. While he called his performance an "all-timer," he still holds the legendary Prince's 2007 Super Bowl show as his personal favorite.
But back to the squared circle, where Bad Bunny is no stranger to stepping into the intense world of professional wrestling. His last electrifying appearance was in May 2023, right in his homeland of Puerto Rico, where he faced off against Damian Priest in a thrilling San Juan Street Fight.
When Cody was pressed about who could potentially face off against Bad Bunny, he immediately pointed to Logan Paul. "LP," as he's known, has truly carved out a niche as a legitimate WWE Superstar since making his impactful in-ring debut back in April 2021.
But here's where it gets interesting... Bad Bunny has tour dates scheduled through March, with a brief hiatus until May. This leaves a potential window, a tantalizing possibility for his highly anticipated return to WWE! Is this a sign? Could we be on the verge of seeing this dream match become a reality?
This is the part most people miss: While both Logan Paul and Bad Bunny have achieved massive success outside of wrestling, their performances inside the WWE ring have been surprisingly compelling and athletic. Could this be a new era where celebrity athletes are not just guest stars, but genuine contenders?
What do you think? Would you be hyped to see Logan Paul vs. Bad Bunny at WrestleMania? Or do you believe this is a spectacle that detracts from the core wrestling talent? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below – we'd love to hear your take!
